KRC2/VKRC2 is the second-generation robot control core of KUKA. VKRC2 is a customized version for the public, with hardware highly compatible with standard KRC2, focusing on motion control and safety center, suitable for KR series 6-axis robots.
Original core module: KRC2 standard version, VKRC2 mass customization version, compatible with KR16/60/100/150/210 and other models.
Distributed architecture: Industrial grade PC+real-time processor, running KSS system, servo cycle of 4ms.
Strong motion control: MFC2 motion board is responsible for trajectory interpolation and supports 6-axis body+2 external axis coordination.
Complete safety logic: DSE-IBS/ISX safety board, handling emergency stop/safety door/speed limit, reaching SIL2 safety level.
Multi bus communication: Integrated with Interbus/PROFIBUS DP/Ethernet, supporting protocols such as DeviceNet.
Servo drive adaptation: compatible with KSD series drives, supporting Resolver/EndAt encoder feedback.
Power Stability: Comes standard with KPS-27 (24V/27V) for control and I/O power supply, with overvoltage and overcurrent protection.
